Dr. Ebrahim Amiri received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, USA, in Dec 2013. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department, University of New Orleans (UNO). His current research interests include the design and optimization of electrical machines and drive. He is a member of the IEEE and serves as a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Application, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IET Transaction on Electric Power Application and multiple international conferences. He has developed a researched-based Variable Speed Drives Laboratory and educational-based Power Electronics Laboratory at UNO.
